Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

1. Overview

FractalAI is a decentralized blockchain platform built on post-quantum cryptographic primitives. This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, and disclosed when you interact with the FractalAI network, its associated web interfaces, wallet tools, and smart contract infrastructure. By accessing or using FractalAI, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

Our core design philosophy prioritizes user sovereignty over personal data. Unlike traditional web services, FractalAI does not require account creation, email verification, or any form of personally identifiable information to participate in the network. Your identity on the platform is derived entirely from your cryptographic key pair, and you retain full control over that key material at all times.

This policy applies to all users of the FractalAI network, including those who interact with the blockchain directly through node software, those who use our web-based wallet and dashboard interfaces, and developers who deploy or interact with smart contracts on the platform.

2. Information We Collect

FractalAI collects the minimum amount of information necessary to operate a decentralized blockchain network. The categories of information that may be collected or generated through your use of the platform include:

  • Wallet Addresses: Your public wallet address is recorded on-chain whenever you submit a transaction, deploy a contract, or participate in staking. This address is a cryptographic hash derived from your public key and does not inherently reveal your real-world identity.
  • On-Chain Transaction Data: All transactions broadcast to the FractalAI network are recorded permanently on the blockchain. This includes sender and recipient addresses, transaction amounts, gas fees, smart contract call data, and timestamps.
  • Usage Analytics: Our web interfaces may collect anonymous, aggregated usage metrics such as page views, session duration, and feature interaction counts. These metrics contain no personally identifiable information and are used solely to improve the user experience.
  • Network Metadata: When connecting to FractalAI nodes, standard network metadata such as IP addresses may be temporarily processed by node software for peer discovery and connection management. This data is not stored persistently.

We do not supplement the information above with data obtained from third-party sources, data brokers, or cross-platform tracking mechanisms. The information we process is limited strictly to what is generated through your direct interaction with the FractalAI platform.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

FractalAI is designed to operate without collecting personally identifiable information. We want to be explicit about the categories of data we do not collect, request, or store:

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses
  • Government-issued identification or social security numbers
  • Geolocation data, GPS coordinates, or precise location information
  • Biometric data such as fingerprints, facial recognition, or voiceprints
  • Financial account information such as bank accounts or credit card numbers
  • Browsing history, search queries, or cross-site tracking data
  • Demographic information such as age, gender, or ethnicity
  • Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or hardware fingerprints

No registration, sign-up form, or KYC (Know Your Customer) process is required to use FractalAI. You are never asked to provide an email address, create a username, or submit any personal details. Access to the full functionality of the platform requires only a valid cryptographic key pair.

If you voluntarily contact us through external channels and provide personal information, that information is subject to the privacy practices of those respective communication platforms and is not stored within the FractalAI system.

4. Wallet Authentication & Key Management

FractalAI uses Dilithium2 post-quantum digital signatures for all wallet authentication and transaction signing. Dilithium2 is a lattice-based cryptographic scheme selected by NIST as a standard for post-quantum digital signatures, providing strong security guarantees against both classical and quantum computing attacks.

Your private keys are generated and stored exclusively on your local device. At no point during wallet creation, transaction signing, or any other operation does your private key leave your device or get transmitted to FractalAI servers or nodes. All cryptographic signing operations are performed client-side within your browser or local wallet application.

The key management model follows a strict non-custodial architecture. FractalAI does not operate key escrow services, custodial wallets, or key recovery systems that would require us to hold or have access to your private key material. You are solely responsible for the secure storage and backup of your private keys and any associated mnemonic recovery phrases.

If you lose access to your private keys, FractalAI cannot recover them on your behalf. We strongly recommend maintaining secure offline backups of your key material and using hardware security modules or encrypted storage for key protection.

5. On-Chain Data & Public Transparency

The FractalAI blockchain is a public, permissionless ledger. All transactions, smart contract deployments, staking operations, and governance actions recorded on the blockchain are publicly visible to anyone operating a node or using a block explorer. This transparency is a fundamental property of the network and is essential to its security and trustworthiness.

On-chain data includes, but is not limited to: wallet addresses of senders and recipients, transaction values and gas costs, smart contract bytecode and state changes, staking delegation records, and block validation metadata. This information is replicated across all nodes in the network and is accessible without authentication.

Because blockchain data is immutable by design, on-chain records cannot be modified, redacted, or deleted after confirmation. You should be aware that any data you submit to the blockchain, including through smart contract interactions, becomes a permanent part of the public ledger. Exercise caution and avoid including any sensitive or personal information in transaction memo fields or smart contract input data.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

The FractalAI web interfaces use browser local storage and session storage to maintain application state and user preferences. We do not use traditional HTTP cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. The data stored locally on your device may include:

  • Session Tokens: Temporary authentication tokens that verify your wallet signature for the duration of a browser session. These tokens expire automatically and contain no personally identifiable information.
  • User Preferences: Interface settings such as theme selection, dashboard layout configurations, notification preferences, and display options are stored in your browser's localStorage.
  • Cached Network Data: Recent block headers, transaction history for your connected wallet, and node connection endpoints may be cached locally to improve loading performance.
  • Encrypted Key Material: If you use the browser-based wallet, your encrypted private key may be stored in localStorage, protected by your locally-set passphrase. The raw key is never stored unencrypted.

You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your browser settings. Clearing local storage will sign you out of any active session and reset your interface preferences to their defaults, but will not affect your wallet balance or on-chain data in any way.

7. Third-Party Services

FractalAI minimizes reliance on third-party services to reduce external data exposure. The following third-party services may be involved in the delivery of the FractalAI web interfaces:

  • Cloudflare CDN: Our web interfaces may be served through Cloudflare's content delivery network for performance optimization and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may process standard HTTP request metadata (IP addresses, user-agent strings) in accordance with their own privacy policy.
  • Infrastructure Providers: Seed nodes and public RPC endpoints may be hosted on cloud infrastructure providers. These providers handle network-level traffic routing but do not have access to application-level data or wallet information.

We do not integrate third-party analytics trackers, advertising networks, social media pixels, or behavioral profiling tools into any FractalAI interface. There are no Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Mixpanel, or similar tracking scripts embedded in our web applications.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise share user data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. No third-party service receives information about your wallet activity, transaction history, or platform usage from FractalAI.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

Data retention on FractalAI is governed by the fundamental properties of blockchain technology. On-chain data, including all confirmed transactions, smart contract state, and staking records, is retained permanently as part of the immutable blockchain ledger. This data cannot be modified or deleted by any party, including the FractalAI development team, as it is maintained by the decentralized consensus of all network participants.

Off-chain data processed by FractalAI web interfaces and infrastructure has the following retention characteristics: network connection logs and temporary IP address records are retained for no more than 48 hours and are used exclusively for network security monitoring. Aggregated, anonymized usage metrics may be retained indefinitely for the purpose of platform improvement but contain no information that could identify individual users.

You may request deletion of any off-chain data associated with your wallet address by contacting us at the address listed in Section 14. Upon verification of your request, we will delete all off-chain data we maintain that is associated with your wallet within 30 days.

Please note that deletion of off-chain data does not affect the permanent on-chain record of your transactions on the blockchain. Due to the immutable nature of distributed ledger technology, on-chain data deletion is technically infeasible and falls outside the scope of any data deletion request.

9. Security Measures

FractalAI employs multiple layers of security to protect the integrity of the network and the privacy of its users. Our security architecture is designed around the principle of minimal trust and maximum cryptographic assurance.

  • Post-Quantum Cryptography: All transaction signing and wallet authentication uses NIST-standardized Dilithium2 lattice-based signatures, providing resistance against both classical and quantum computing threats to cryptographic security.
  • No Centralized Database: FractalAI does not maintain a centralized user database. There is no single repository of user credentials, personal information, or wallet data that could be targeted in a data breach.
  • Encrypted Communications: All communications between your browser and FractalAI web interfaces are encrypted using TLS 1.3. Node-to-node communications within the peer-to-peer network use encrypted transport channels.
  • Client-Side Key Encryption: When keys are stored in the browser wallet, they are encrypted using AES-256-GCM with a key derived from your passphrase via Argon2id, a memory-hard key derivation function resistant to brute-force attacks.

While we implement robust security measures, no system can guarantee absolute security. We encourage users to follow best practices for key management, including maintaining offline backups, using strong passphrases, and keeping their software up to date.

10. Children's Privacy

FractalAI is not directed at or designed for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect, process, or store information from children under 13 years of age. Because FractalAI does not collect personally identifiable information, we have no mechanism to determine the age of our users. However, children under the age of 13 should not use this platform.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under the age of 13 has interacted with the FractalAI platform, please contact us at the address provided in Section 14. While we cannot delete on-chain transaction records, we will take reasonable steps to remove any off-chain data associated with the identified wallet address.

Users between the ages of 13 and 18 should review this Privacy Policy with a parent or legal guardian to ensure they understand its terms before interacting with the FractalAI network.

11. International Users

FractalAI operates as a decentralized network with no central headquarters or primary jurisdiction. Nodes may be operated by independent participants located in any country worldwide. The FractalAI blockchain does not restrict access based on geographic location, and transactions are processed by whichever validator nodes achieve consensus, regardless of their physical location.

Because of this decentralized architecture, your on-chain data may be stored and replicated on nodes located in multiple jurisdictions simultaneously. By using the FractalAI network, you acknowledge that your transaction data will be distributed globally across the decentralized network of participating nodes.

If you are accessing FractalAI from a jurisdiction with specific data protection regulations, please review Section 12 regarding your rights under applicable privacy frameworks. We are committed to respecting the privacy rights of users worldwide, to the extent compatible with the fundamental operation of a public, decentralized blockchain.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data under frameworks such as the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). FractalAI respects these rights to the fullest extent applicable to a decentralized blockchain platform.

  • Right to Know: You have the right to know what information we collect and how it is used. This Privacy Policy serves as our comprehensive disclosure of those practices.
  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of any off-chain data we hold that is associated with your wallet address. On-chain data is publicly accessible through any block explorer or network node.
  • Right to Deletion: You may request deletion of off-chain data associated with your wallet address. As noted in Section 8, on-chain data is immutable and cannot be deleted due to the fundamental architecture of blockchain technology.
  • Right to Portability: All on-chain data is inherently portable, as it is stored on a public, permissionless ledger. You can export your transaction history from any node or block explorer at any time.
  • Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell personal information. Because we do not engage in data sales or targeted advertising, no opt-out mechanism for such activities is necessary.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the address provided in Section 14. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days. To verify your identity as the owner of a wallet address, you may be asked to sign a cryptographic message using your private key.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the capabilities of the FractalAI platform, or applicable legal requirements. When we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and make reasonable efforts to notify users through our official communication channels.
